I am Sebastian Nye-Schmitz, an Attorney at Law and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Florida. I grew up in a German-American household, moved to Southwest Florida as a child, and have called Naples home for more than 14 years.

My dual qualifications as an attorney and CPA allow me to recognize the financial and tax implications that may accompany a legal matter. The focus of The Nye-Schmitz Law Firm, however, is clear: to provide sound legal counsel with personal attention, care, and straightforward communication.

A Family Tradition in Southwest Florida

My father, Werner Schmitz, was a tax professional who founded SSI Accounting & Tax Service, Inc. in Fort Myers in 1998. He built his practice around a simple principle: Treat every client’s matter with the same care you would give your own.

For him, that meant thorough preparation, honest advice, and never taking shortcuts.

After his passing in July 2025, I made it my mission to continue that tradition—with my own qualifications, my own law practice, and a renewed commitment to the German-American community throughout Southwest Florida.

From Naples and Bonita Springs to Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Sarasota, we serve our clients with the same care and personal attention upon which my father built his reputation.
